Hair Bow Holder!

I got the idea from MyMagicMom [hold on, baby crying], as well as a few other ideas I might attempt. I used the backside of a canvas instead of the front to create dimension and it looks purdy to me.

Hartley started cruising this week.. very slowly. Marshall thinks she'll be walking by Christmas. Oh, Jesus.. I hope not!

So.. we're going to look at a craigslist sectional tomorrow. I'm excited!

She really loves bouncing on her knees these days! As well as babbling, shaking her head, and getting into every.thing.

Crawling. Crawling. And more crawling. She especially enjoys being chased.

I really wish the lighting was better in these videos, but this next one is my favorite. Well, it's my favorite moment of the day. :)

I'm usually cleaning in the kitchen while Marshall gets her bath ready. She can see me down the hall and usually makes a break for me. I get so tickled watching her do this!

We officially dislike daylight savings time. Hartley was awake at 6:30am. We even let her stay up past 8:30 last night! She was fussy in the nursery this morning (we've been visiting a new church). One of the workers even asked if she was teething, and she has been drooling a lot more lately. But she was also tired.

Today was a 3 nap day. We're still working on getting down to 2. Thanksgiving is the deadline. Only a few weeks to go! Ahhh!

9 month checkup

Hartley had a wonderful and slightly painful checkup yesterday. Apparently they changed the rounds of a particular vaccination to 5 (instead of 4), so she received one shot. Of course, she cried! But she managed better than last time...

I can't believe you let them stick that needle in me!

Stats:

15lb 5oz (5th percentile)

28 inches long (75th percentile)

16 inches head circumference (I have no idea)

Ezcema looking better, except for a few spots (from drooling on her hand).

She has a small umbilical hernia.. I thought it was just an outie. Pediatrician says it's nothing to be worried about and should heal on it's own.

I got my Daddy's outie!

He also mentioned that we would discuss weaning at her 12 month checkup. I really wanted to say that we were going to wait until she started kindergarten with the straightest face. Just to get a reaction. Maybe next time. :)

Okay, so now I've had my fun creating the list.. I guess I have to get to cleaning. Boo.

9 month videos

Yesterday, Hartley and I dropped by Marshall's office for a quick visit. Apparently from that time to when Marshall got home, Hartley grew up a little (at least Marshall thought so).

In the past week she has really enjoyed crawling to the window (and now to the dining room and kitchen) and looking outside.

A few weeks back Hartley started shaking her head. She quit for a while, but now it's back. On the way home from church Sunday, I was making kissing noises and she tried to imitate me! It was a simplified version, but still!

Usually if I ask her to do said action and do it first, she will follow suit. Usually. She didn't make the kiss noise in this video, but she does shake her head and make the babble noise with her hand in her mouth (something her cousins taught her). And she definitely understands the question "where is ____?" Just not so much in this video. :)

She's growing up so quickly! In fact, Marshall found her standing up in her crib this morning.. and here she goes trying to stand at the window!
